The purpose of “NFL INTERNATIONAL” is to promote the development and the organization NO FINISH LINE® in worldwide. MiddleCap helped to organise the run and was one of the main sponsors.
The principle is simple and universally accessible: it’s just about running or walking for five days. Every kilometer run or walked represents EUR 1.
The concept’s originality is that anyone of any age can join this charitable event – so individuals as well as teams can get involved.
The underlying idea of the run is to support projects that help children in difficult situations due to health problems, war conflicts, diseases, lack of drinking water, hygiene, famine, and other troubles and disasters.
Its first year in Slovakia had over 2,500 runners and raised EUR 36,059. The aim was to support the Therapeutic Playground at Bratislava’s National Institute of Pediatric Diseases.
Last year’s event was forced online due to the pandemic.
But in 2020, No Finish Line had 1,375 participants who ran or walked 26,007 km. They raised a total of EUR 26,007, which was divided between three worthy causes. OZ Nádej detí, which oversees the Center for Families and Children in Bernolákov, received EUR 7,001 thanks to its supporters. OZ Pons received EUR 7,697 to organize a daily summer integration camp. Runners covered 11,299 kilometers for the Slovak Paralympic Committee’s #inseparable project. It aims to find and support young sports talents among disadvantaged children, and thereby help overcome their barriers in life.
